Pedego South Bay is proudly woman-owned, co-run by locals who were born and raised right here in the Torrance and Redondo Beach area. Our deep roots run through this community—and we’re honored to serve the same streets we’ve grown up riding.
Jeanine grew up in Torrance and spent 19 years working in corporate marketing at Toyota Motor Sales USA alongside her late father, who was not only her biggest supporter but also a Reserve Police Officer for Redondo Beach. Owning a dealership was always her dream. While it’s not cars, it’s something even better—an electric bike dealership in the very city her dad once protected. A dream with purpose, heart, and hometown meaning.
Carlos, a Los Angeles City Fire Department chief grew up as the 11th of 12 kids in Eagle Rock. He spent his childhood riding bikes, chasing that feeling of freedom that only two wheels can give. His parents owned a produce market in Los Angeles, and he’s always had that entrepreneurial fire. Today, he brings that same energy to Pedego South Bay—coaching riders, teaching safety, and helping new customers discover the joy of riding. He’ll spend five minutes or two hours making sure you feel confident and ready.

Jeanine comes from a long line of South Bay entrepreneurs—from her 95-year-old grandmother who ran her own beauty shop to great-uncles who owned appliance stores and barber shops, and a family legacy that goes back to her great-grandparents’ grocery store in Torrance. Her parents always encouraged big dreams—and those dreams live on in this store.
Carlos and Jeanine have four kids between them—including two daughters in local schools—and love giving back to the community that raised them. They first bought their own Pedego Interceptors in 2017, before the world turned upside down, and instantly fell in love with the brand. After becoming close with the original owners of the South Bay store, they took over the shop in 2022 to continue serving the community they care so much about.
Since then, they’ve been remodeling, refreshing, and reimagining what Pedego South Bay could be—and now it’s better than ever. Jeanine is always at the shop, and you’ll see Carlos there whenever he’s not on duty.
